Paul D. Polacek

"Thank you for taking the time to consider my services. I encourage preventative legal advice to reduce expenses and the likelihood of future litigation. However, we often find ourselves in unexpected positions that need legal assistance. Even with the best planning, some situations will find their way onto an attorney's desk or even before the court. I provide upfront services to minimize the likelihood of finding yourself in expensive settlement negotiation or litigation. Even with the best planning, we find ourselves disagreeing on the unexpected. In those circumstances I offer competent litigation services. As a general practitioner, I must determine what is best for my client or potential client. If my services do not meet your needs, I maintain a list of competent attorneys that will get the job done right. I look forward to serving you in the future."

Paul Polacek has been a member of the Wisconsin Dells community for over a decade and is now offering general practice legal services with a focus on both commercial and residential real estate, corporate and small business, family law, criminal defense and environmental law. Although he has and continues to successfully represent clients throughout the state, he routinely practices in Adams, Columbia, Juneau, Marquette, and Sauk Counties.

Our Offices

The Law Office of POLACEK & AMES, S.C.. is located in the historic Wisconsin Dells Library building. Built in 1912 with a grant from the Carnegie Fund as well as more than matching funds from Village of Kilbourn (now Wisconsin Dells), the building was designated a National Historic Place in 1975. Designed by architects Louis W. Claude and Edward F. Starck, the distinctive "Prairie School" design became a theme throughout much of their work, predominantly in southern Wisconsin. Often designing for Carnegie grant buildings; libraries by Claude and Starck can be found in Baraboo, Tomah, Sparta, Wisconsin Dells, Merrill, Barron and elsewhere throughout the state. The team also designed commercial buildings and residential homes as well. Claude, a Baraboo native studied under Allan Conover, as did Frank Lloyd Wright. Stark was a son of a construction business owner and worked part-time in downtown Madison architectural firms before meeting Claude in 1896 thus forming the partnership. The building served as Wisconsin Dells Public Library until recently and was then moved from Broadway to its current address of 631 Cedar Street.
